LARGEST EU-FUNDED HEALTH PROJECT IN TURKEY LAUNCHED TODAY - `SIHHAT`

Ankara -Public Health Institution of Turkey President Prof. Irfan SENCAN and Head of EU Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Christian BERGER today launched the largest EU-funded health project in Turkey that will benefit refugees and host communities across the country. The SIHHAT project will improve primary and secondary health care services to Syrian refugees by building, furnishing and covering operating costs of 178 migrant health centres and 10 community mental health centers, and employing 1500 health personnel, including Syrian doctors and nurses.
